Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Probably right after seeing what happened to the guy who asked that of the bull.I did that once, and the bull kept his cool, he seemed to be at ease.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Seeing Gibson pitch and reading Parker article earlier reminded me about some things Common said late last week: "Everyone was talking about Plouffe and Parmelee the same way as Buxton and Sano and we know how they turned out"(Ignoring the fact Plouffe as been at least decent). "Clearly the league has figured Gibson out" "Buxton is a showboat, he could have easily made that catch without diving"(referring to the catch from the televised game). "The bullpen is terrible".I live out of the Minneapolis radio market, is he really as clueless as he seemed or is it some sort of shtick/persona? Can some one please show me when Plouffe and Parmelee were ever talked about in the way Buxton and Sano are?
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I'm pretty sure that puns fall well short of the Holocaust in terms of outrages against humanity. Apparently you are unfamiliar with the documentary film produced by Monty Python, examining the Nazi war effort to construct the Killer Joke. Wenn ist das Nunstück git und Slotermeyer? Ja! Beiherhund das Oder die Flipperwaldt gersput!
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Sounds like a rip off of the last Indiana Jones movie. Indiana Jones and Battleship.

CairoCrown Provisional Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Gibson just needs to "hit the bull" now.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Can some one please show me when Plouffe and Parmelee were ever talked about in the way Buxton and Sano are? Woa... We don't do that here. That could lead to debate.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Brock is going to hate me for this, but if it's a really old and slow machine I recommend using Firefox + the script block and adblocking extensions. Site performance (everywhere) will improve dramatically. Brock hates you anyway, hadn't you noticed?
CairoCrown Provisional Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Mauer's conversation with Gibson on the mound.Mauer: Don't ever shake me off, meat.Gibson: Why's he calling me meat? I'm the one driving a Studebaker.
B Richard Provisional Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Lets see if Gibson has the cahonas for this
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I know nothing about that show, but the Hitler Finds Out meme never fails to make me laugh, unless I watch three or four in a row.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Trip to the mound Transcript... Bakery Fresh... Hot from the Oven... Andy: Ummm... I forgot what I'm came out here forGibson: I've walked three this inning? Andy: No that's not it... Have you ever gone somewhere and forgotten why you were going there. Mauer: Gardy probably asked you to go talk to Kyle. Andy: Thats right... Thanks Joe. (pause)... So I've talked to you now.Gibson: Yep
big dog Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Gibson walked the bases loaded, with a wild pitch tossed in, then gave up a soft liner to center for two runs. The good news is he missed the zone low, rather than missing the corners and throwing it down the middle as we've been seeing far too often.
big dog Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 The two-run double, however, was hit with authority.

diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Rodon Rodon Rodon Rodon Rodon. Gibby is doing his part.
snepp Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Lets see if Gibson has the cahonas for this I don't think I have the cojones for this.
glunn Community Moderator Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I have seen a lot of these, but this is one of the best.
buckninetyone Provisional Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I'm pretty sure that puns fall well short of the Holocaust in terms of outrages against humanity. you're probably right. probably.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I'd say Andy made it worse with the words he chose to use.

CairoCrown Provisional Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I know nothing about that show, but the Hitler Finds Out meme never fails to make me laugh, unless I watch three or four in a row. That's one of the better ones that I've seen. The map stuff was right on and "Stannis" is really close to "Stalin."
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Glunn, you should be spared from any updates about this game. I care about you and I don't want your health to be effected.
amjgt Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Maybe this can make us feel better[video=youtube_share;aeEQDtk63H4]
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I'd say Andy made it worse with the words he chose to use. Shoulda gone with yours. Maybe Pelfrey can give Gibby some tips on not doing this until the 6th inning. Welp, gotta run, I've got a meeting to go to and I think I've got the gist of this one. Maybe someone can do a Hitler Finds Out The 2013 Twins Aren't Going To Win The Division.
big dog Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Wait, you can't go now!!! Parmelee's batting!!!! ...never mind.
amjgt Verified Member Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 We need an animated GIF of the woman at 1:45 from that video to post when we win
