glunn Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Hey Glunn, I'm going to be in your neck of the woods for a few days starting on the 10th. Looking for new places to eat, if you have any suggestions. I've done most of the tried and true places. What kind of food do you like best?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Which one is Gibby? How do you think he pays for all those trips.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 What kind of food do you like best? I've been a chef for 30 years, and have eaten my way around the world, so I have pretty adventurous tastes. I'd be up for just about anything as long as it's done right.

Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 I've heard of this McDonald's place that is suppose to serve up some pretty decent hamburgers.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Sorry RB - you beat me to it.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 I woke up this morning and immediately thought Morneau Home Run today for no reason at all. My second thought was I gotta pee. At least you have your priorities straight.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 How Bout if we start the game thread with this: Captions anyone? This is where Cain's foul ball landed.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Is that sparkly lint? yes, yes it is ... it's what comes of wearing glittered fleece.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Living out of state, I don't watch many games... Cannot help but notice that KC has been getting a lot more Ks of late. Is his pitching that much better?

I'd be up for just about anything as long as it's done right. There is a restaurant near my office called Craft that's pretty consistently amazing. My favorite food is BBQ, and there is a place called Bludsoe's that has 2 locations that is incredible.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 oh, crap ... ok ... back to cleaning and packing for a bit
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 I've heard of this McDonald's place that is suppose to serve up some pretty decent hamburgers. For fast food burgers, In n Out is hard to beat -- everything is fresh not frozen.

big dog Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 You know, 5 runs might just be enough to win this game...

stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Parm getting (deservedly) thrown under the bus. However, it doesn't forgive KC for allowing two big hits from the 8-9 guys in the order.

Memphis Not really a fair question. They are all different, yet excellent. It took me a while to develop an appreciation for eastern Carolina bbq, but I love it now. Memphis is amazing, and KC could be, but they have way too many mediocre joints. I'm not crazy about Texas's infatuation with mesquite, I much prefer fruit woods with beef or pork and Alder for fish. Texas does have some good bbq though.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Florimon tried to catch that ball between his pinkie and ring finger. you should have used all 5 fingers.

The one in Compton has the best food, but it's in a terrible neighborhood and the only place to eat there is on picnic tables in the back. If you don't want to do take out, then I would suggest that you go to the one on La Brea. I have not been to the La Brea location, but friends have told me that it's good.
