Both are definitely top 15 hitters in the entire Twins organization. How'd I do? Saying they are top hitters in the organization isn't saying a lot. And speed doesn't matter much when you're as strikeout prone as Buxton is. I'll grade that as a "C".

Linus Verified Member Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 Ok all you second guessers - thumbs up or down on Varland in the 8th? No thumbs, no second guessing.
ziggy Verified Member Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 up But shouldn't it be Stewart time?
Joffell Verified Member Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 Pretty sure Bader has watched 5 pitches go down the middle tonight without even a flinch Patzky 1

Louie makes me nervous. Not sure how he’ll handle a pressure situation with how amped he always is. Would rather Coulombe Patzky and Twins_Fan_in_NJ 2

I'm ok with that. Sands could be another option but I prefer Varland. Quero is up again.. he hasn't seen anything over 90 yet.

One thing that I just don’t understand is, given the havoc he can cause with his speed and base running, why he has chosen or been encouraged to adopt an all or nothing hitting approach for much of the time. TTO almost completely negates your speed tool. IndyTwinsFan 1
