I don't want them to trade Pablo. But I also think Baltimore is the team that will still add someone via trade.

I do think Buehler is more of a lottery ticket for Boston. If they are expecting more than 120 healthy innings from him this year, I guess that'd surprise me.

The Red Sox are positively loaded with expensive, injured pitchers. $80M spent on Sandoval, Buehler and Giolito.

I trust Buehler to stay healthy more than Luzardo. I like the deal for Boston. I don't expect another 200 inning year out of him, but I think it's a decent enough bet that he can make 30ish starts and get you 170ish innings.

Baltimore has a few prospects (Basallo & Mayo), but I'm not really interested in either one of those guys for Pablo Lopez. I think Falvey is unplugged; he has his team. It has nothing to do with money. He just wants to see what his guys can do next season.

I'm still wondering about Paddack to Baltimore or the Cubs. I think the Cubs for one of their RHOF, possibly with a lower level prospect thrown in, might make sense.

See, if the twins were trading someone like Pablo, I would be pushing for both of Basallo and Mayo in a package. Baltimore needs pitching, and they have high end prospects. 
Again, I don’t want to trade Pablo. But if they were blown away by a deal (not just a fair trade, one you can’t say no to) that is what it would look like no?

The O's think their young prospects will carry the day. They like the Twins have done virtually nothing this off season except probably losing Santander and Burnes. They have a mega rich owner and a mindset that they are still a poverty stricken small market team. They haven't won since 1983 and don't seem any closer today. They are the blueprint for perpetual rebuild. In fairness they had miserable luck with their pitchers last year. Nearly all their rotation plus their ace closer were shut down.

I would not trade Pablo Lopez for Sam Basallo and Coby Mayo, Baltimore has a stacked group of young players who need to play or get traded. I'm a little surprised that the Orioles haven't completed a deal. There is still time but without pitching and considering the competition in the AL East, the Orioles almost need to make a big splash somehow.
