What argument am I not applying fairly?

Everyone acknowledges, including me, that good teams sometimes struggle with lesser teams. If it happens every week it’s totally fair to question. Our last best game start to finish was 2 months ago. Lions have those games regularly.

What aren’t you understanding, exactly?

So you tried to sideways dunk on the Vikings by talking up the Lions for the first hald, but when they look bad and barely win you then move the goalposts?

Cool.

There’s always someone that insists on having turkey. But think about it, this isn’t a meal we make throughout the year. We put so much effort into this meal and the turkey always turns out okay. I’ve never had a mind blowing experience eating turkey.

If I outlive my mom (doubtful) we won’t be doing traditional Thanksgiving. One of my three kids will eat turkey, but none of them will touch anything else without protest until the pie is served.

Not moving any goalposts. They had a bad second half. But I will go with what I’ve seen from them over the course of the season when they regularly blow teams out. Maybe the injuries piling up will change that but they’re still the best team in the league until otherwise noted. Or do you disagree?

When someone tries what you tried in the second post in this thread and can't own how it ages, then we're admitting the conversation can't be had fairly.  I'm not interested in that, thank you.

Sure I’ll own it, I was picking on the Vikings a bit and it aged poorly today.

Is this going to be like 3 weeks in a row that everyone in the nfc north will win except for the bears? Assuming Vikings Sunday

Posted

If the packers finish this off and the Vikings win Sunday, over the last 6 games, the bears have lost:

6 games on detroit, 5 on MN and 3 on GB

It will be very interesting to see how the lions do the next two games with GB and the Bills considering how many injuries their defense has and the ones they got today. It would be fine with me if they become a little less invincible-looking then they had been

It just blows my mind how a professional football team can look so ineffective in mid 20s temps. It makes playoff football a waste of time if they don’t get the 1 seed.

I feel like Tampa was accused of having the same problem a while back. Maybe 90s/early 2000s?

Just googled…bucs didn’t win a game that started below 40 degrees until 2002 and hadn’t won one below freezing until the NFCCG that year

The best case scenario for Miami is sneaking in as a wild card team and getting curb stomped outside at Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, or Kansas City.

I remember that too. In fairness, Tampa kinda sucked no matter where they played in those years.

And they had that annual bay of pigs game against equally bad Green Bay before Favre. You’d think they’d have won a few

Packers Lions for the final two games is going to be a gauntlet, assuming the game will matter to the lions. GB is relatively healthy.

Thanksgiving hot take… With each passing year I’m just confirming that I don’t actually like the full turkey thanksgiving meal. Doesn’t matter how you dress or prepare the turkey, I’ve had it cooked 5 different ways. They all turn out just okay.

My brother and I were talking about starting a new tradition and just doing beef tenderloin or steaks instead of turkey.

We served smoked then grilled steak this year. So good.

We also went to my brother in law's house, he served abobada pork. No turkey at their house for years now.

I googled that and it sounds absolutely incredible

Man,  the bears honestly could have won the last four games. What a change that would have been.

They really could have. But again, even without the bungled clock management, they made that last drive so hard with penalties and sacks. Pretty much had taken themselves out of FG range when it once looked like they could score a TD

Ya.  But I still like their future, with a new coach

Me too. This would have been a possible job saving win for Eberflus after how badly they played in the first half. Was it coaching adjustments/injuries? But then he bungled the clock and it will cost him his job

That’s what me and my sister in law want to do next year. We will see if we can get my brother on board he still likes the traditional turkey dinner. Beef tenderloin or steak… Hell, I would love a make your own fajita bar.
