Now I am willing to bet the Vikings will face off against Joe Flacco since he can actually complete passes. Which sucks, but they still should beat Flacco. But clearly veteran QBs do have a significant advantage over the young guys against this D. Flacco is more Aaron Rodgers than Stafford and Goff though, so the Vikings should still win. And if they don't, then we can pack away our anxiety about the season because it will already be over. And that's not pessimism on my part. I much prefer the seasons where we know it ain't happening over the seasons where it ain't happening but they string us along until week 15.

For all the pre-draft talk, Daniels is the much more NFL ready QB. Neither has done much, but Williams has a whiff of Justin Fields, where he looks indecisive, a bit slow on his reads and reluctant to push the ball down the field. I *think* he'll end up fine, but if he is indecisive, it seems to me that is the one thing that never gets coached out of QBs. Best case they end up as a Teddy Bridgewater kind of game manager. Worst case is Christian Ponder. I'd guess his high end skill level will give him confidence push him past that, but I think it's a possible long term threat.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted October 27, 2024 Author Posted October 27, 2024 That this league talks about expansion is crazy. There aren't 34 NFL capable QBs on the planet. I'm not sure there are 20. Mike Sixel and gunnarthor 2

TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Crazy slate of games today - upsets galore, games going in completely unexpected directions, it's been wild. The Lions are the class of the league. The playoffs are going to end up with 14 really evenly matched teams at this rate. gunnarthor 1
