We just need to not set those dreams as expectations.... I'd like to think they can do this if they want, I mean, they can....I just don't see it as likely. Alas, as you say.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 28, 2024 Author Posted July 28, 2024 Why hasn't this happened yet?
Cory Engelhardt Verified Member Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 I’m fully on board with this. 100%

SwainZag Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 The player option makes it pretty highly unlikely he gets moved.

Eris Verified Member Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 1 hour ago, USAFChief said: Why? There are at least 2 scenarios in which Snell would exercise his option. Both of these would be undesirable from an acquiring teams standpoint especially if they are on a budget. 1 if he gets hurt, 2 if he is ineffective. I don’t know if it is possible to structure a trade contract to take into consideration a future unknown event, such as if Snell exercises his option then the Giants will send the Twins 30 million dollars. What level prospect would the Giants want for a guarantee of such sums of money. Perhaps someone who knows more about MLB trade rules could articulate what is allowed under such a scenario.
Jocko87 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Giants selling Soler, have to think Snell is available as well. Yolo. USAFChief and Cory Engelhardt 2
cmoss84 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Would you give up prospects 5-15 to get Snell and Vlad? I vote yes. USAFChief 1
