It’s been sign him or not but why not option c? I think some have stated this as an option before ... test him then cut him loose if it's not working. Brandon 1

However, that was in the competitive/obnoxious sense of the word, not the criminal one. There's a big important difference. And his teammates liked him, mostly. I vaguely remember one former teammate saying something along the lines of "AJ is the guy you love as a teammate and hate in the other dugout." Pierzynski is a pain in the ass but doesn't seem to be a bad guy, just loud and obnoxious. For example, he never refused to give the ball to the manager and instead heaved it into the outfield seats, he'd just heckle the **** out of opposing players. Rod Carews Birthday and jud6312 2
jaimedude Verified Member Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 Why did this turn into a Bauer exclusive thread? Twins do look like they may need another starting pitcher. What about trading old driebd Jose Berrios. He seems to be pitching well in AL East. Not over paid like a lot of free agent guys. Berrios seems to have developed a good change up. Would ownership step to the plate and pay the money?

There are a group who think all wrong has committed against him and a group who think the liability and risk are too great because he still has pending cases, he’s a horrible teammate, and would be a PR nightmare to any team. That’s really the end of it and the end of all these discussions. No one will budge from their corners so it’s pointless to even keep bringing it up time and time again. It leads nowhere. Agree, guys toxic. Huge PR downside for signing him, even worse if he doesn’t perform. Very little upside because even if he plays well, your the team that signs a guy accused off abusing unconscious women. He’s toast. jud6312 1
