I think some have stated this as an option before ... test him then cut him loose if it's not working.

And his teammates liked him, mostly. I vaguely remember one former teammate saying something along the lines of "AJ is the guy you love as a teammate and hate in the other dugout." Pierzynski is a pain in the ass but doesn't seem to be a bad guy, just loud and obnoxious. For example, he never refused to give the ball to the manager and instead heaved it into the outfield seats, he'd just heckle the **** out of opposing players.

Why did this turn into a Bauer exclusive thread? Twins do look like they may need another starting pitcher. What about trading old driebd Jose Berrios. He seems to be pitching well in AL East. Not over paid like a lot of free agent guys. Berrios seems to have developed a good change up. Would ownership step to the plate and pay the money?

Agree, guys toxic. Huge PR downside for signing him, even worse if he doesn’t perform. Very little upside because even if he plays well, your the team that signs a guy accused off abusing unconscious women. He’s toast.
