Some movement in the Miami PED situation

I'm really hoping A-Rod and Braun get 100 games, minimum. Especially Braun. What a lying sack of crap (Same with A-Rod). Blaming the sample-handling process and attacking the guy who handled his sample all while lying his way to the MVP award. Jackass.

It will be interesting what stance the union takes on this. The clean players have to be getting sick of these guys tarnishing everybody else

Could any Twins or former Twins be on the list? Any speculation?

No Twins or former Twins on the list that has been released so far.

Well on Baseball Reference, Braun's agents are actually listed as:

Agents: CAA Sports (Nez Balelo), previously: Paragon/Joe Longo

Trevor Plouffe's agents are listed as:

Agents: CAA Sports (Nez Balelo), previously: Joe Longo / Paragon

Obvioulsy that doesn't prove or even imply anything, but if we are assuming the agents are involved, well Braun and Plouffe have had the same track record with the same two agencies. They are old pals too.

Likely unrelated rambling thought: I'd imagine if Gardenhire was aware of any of his players possibly getting suspended over this, they'd be in his doghouse and probably would have been for some time.

Of course one could get into Gardy's doghouse with poor defense and chasing bad pitches too.

Some Movement?

If you call South America slamming into Australia some movement... OK :P

I don't think this guarantees anything. The guy who flipped is not necessarily the most trustworthy source.

It will be interesting to see how the union responds. I think they will be a lot less sympathetic to the busted players than those players might hope.

I doubt they are relying strictly on Bosch's word. Evidently he kept detailed records and if those records correlate with the player's own financial records (i.e. for travel etc.) (though I'm not sure how MLB will get a hold of such things), that's pretty damning evidence.

It's pretty smart of Bosch to keep enough evidence that he could flip on the players (or extort money from them), if a leak in his office or from the players ever surfaced. I'm sure he'd rather get paid to be quite than have to cooperate with MLB, but it sounds like the former didn't happen even though he tried.

This is going to get messy. I'm not sure how the MLB can suspend this many players with this much money being involved. Their current contracts shouldn't be affected but future contracts definitely could be by missing 50-100 games. I'm also not sure how this can happen without basically going to court or at least some sort of arbiter where the players can defend themselves. This is not what the MLB needed.
