LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Good outcome of Duensing vs. Justin Upton = GWRBI xbh. Bad outcome = thermonuclear explosion.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Duensing's pitchouts looked like they had more life than anything Pelfrey has thrown this season.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Anatomy of a losing streak: Questionable managerial decisions, close losses, slumping offense and deteriorating pitching. Most things that went right when the Twins were winning more than their share have regressed toward the mean, while the problem spots have truly been exposed.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 This umpire is pathetic.I blame Doumit's framing and The Curse of Eric Gregg...
B Richard Provisional Member Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Yeah, where's your '91 World Series banner?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Add in a little bit of bad luck and yet another loss.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Not to worry, Duensing is tough on lefties.
one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 The more losses like this I see, the more I'm convinced that Puckett, Hrbek, TK and company really did make a deal with the Devil back in the day: two World Series crowns for a lifetime of Minnesota sports suffering.

That doesn't explain the Drew Pearson push-off and many other things. I blame Bernie Bierman for winning all those national titles for Gopher football. What did he do?
striker_86 Provisional Member Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 jeez, these losses keep piling up. Now we gotta go to Detroit and Milwaukee. Can we win 1 game before we come home next Wednesday?

one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 So when the hell does this losing streak end? Can Vanimal get it done tomorrow? 4 in Detroit after that. No Verlander, but KC/Fister and Pelfrey/Scherzer are not matchups I'm looking forward to watching.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Hey, look at the bright side. At least Hicksie got a hi... Oh. Wait. 0-5 and 3 more K's. Reminds me of the Steven Wright one-liner: "There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot". And I would say there's also a fine line between being 'patient' (and how is having Hicks skip a level 'patient') and just burying your head in the sand.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Who do they call up to take Plouffe's place tomorrow morning when he goes on the 7-day concussion DL? Colabello or Delbi Romero?
