LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 So, you mean we can't have a bottom half offense and a bottom half starting pitching staff and stay above .500?Next you're going to be talking crazy, pessimistic talk like 'Correia regression likely'.
Twins Twerp Provisional Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 How many options does willingham have left?
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Next you're going to be talking crazy, pessimistic talk like 'Correia regression likely'. Or I could get really depressing and talk about it in regards to Diamond too...
snepp Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 I thought Diamond had already sufficiently regressed at this point?
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 It's actually quite impressive that the Sandlot actors are still in the stadium watching the game six and a half hours later. And looking like they're enjoying themselves too.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 I thought Diamond had already sufficiently regressed at this point? Well, yeah, we just haven't talked about it around here yet,
GCTF Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Buck Ninetyseven.... I'm partial to Whiffingham.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 How many options does willingham have left? 4 left.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Well, yeah, we just haven't talked about it around here yet, Looking at the stat lines of the starting pitchers is painful enough without envisioning them getting any worse.
Twins Twerp Provisional Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 We need to get ourselves some asian relievers. Maybe we could contend. Of course then the draft wouldnt be as exciting...so nevermind
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Or I could get really depressing and talk about it in regards to Diamond too...Nah, that one's out of the barn already, so citing him would just draw the ire of the 'hindsight 20/20; totally unforeseeable' mafia. Why not really poke the bear and throw in a negative medical staff comment?
Twins Twerp Provisional Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Parmalee is like the kid from trouble with the curve. Except his movie would be trouble with the fastball
GCTF Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 So about 6 hours and 20 minutes, or, an average time of game for the Red Sox.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Nah, that one's out of the barn already, so citing him would just draw the ire of the 'hindsight 20/20; totally unforeseeable' mafia. Why not really poke the bear and throw in a negative medical staff comment? We could blame Diamond's regression on the medical staff itself. 2'fers!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 I'm partial to Whiffingham.Outstanding, and it also frees up Buck 97 in case Hicksie goes on a tear and raises his average 60 points...
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 We could blame Diamond's regression on the medical staff itself. 2'fers!Done and done. Now bring the heat, FO apologists! Lev, jokin and I are ready for you to do your worst...http://jhupress.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/boys-wearing-ja-pot-hats.jpg
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Wait, I left out snepp, who, despite his moderator status, appears surprisingly eager for a fight. Watch out, amateur Twins PR flacks, you don't want none o' that!http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/thumblarge_441/1254427996LvInKC.jpg
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Parmalee is like the kid from trouble with the curve. Except his movie would be trouble with the fastballI'm not sayin' he's late on the heaters, but he K'ed on a Dempster fastball... today.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 The only thing later than Parmalee on a fastball is me getting that joke.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Well, yeah, we just haven't talked about it around here yet, Memo to Nick Nelson....Have I got an article idea for you....!
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 The only thing later than Parmalee on a fastball is me getting that joke. Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed when Parmelee makes contact, his bat sounds like balsa wood?
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 In his best Jack Nicholson as "The Joker" voice: "Where does he get all his cool smilies?
snepp Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Most come from Google magic. Some come from the smilies thread here. http://twinsdaily.com/questions-about-twins-daily/2430-we-need-better-smilies.html
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Outstanding, and it also frees up Buck 97 in case Hicksie goes on a tear and raises his average 60 points... What? "In case?" Weren't you aware that Hicksie is already on a tear? And becoming a "team leader", too! Did anyone else notice that Hicksie obviously taught Whiffie that "play the ball off your glove" play for an XBH? The truth hurts so good, I can only laugh so as not to puke. After this Red Sox series, the flashbacks and reliving of 2011 and 2012 is becoming all too real again
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 The only thing later than Parmalee on a fastball is me getting that joke.Yep, it was a joke, on account of Dempster pitched yesterday... Y'all ain't laughin', though...http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_jekqQF9KRo/T6nbPMSAiEI/AAAAAAAAIUc/Rxwgl1IhRM8/s1600/will-smith-as-agent-j-in-men-in-black-3-2012_1.jpg
snepp Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Did Hammer even get his glove on the ball? I thought it hit his wrist.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Did Hammer even get his glove on the ball? I thought it hit his wrist. Maybe a little glove and a lot of wrist, but hey! at least it wasn't off his head like Conseco. Still think he and Hicksie are prime contenders for top plays on "Not The Top Ten".
snepp Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Y'all ain't laughin', though... Given my apparent inability to adequately process it, I expect the laugh to come sometime around 4 pm tomorrow.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Given my apparent inability to adequately process it, I expect the laugh to come sometime around 4 pm tomorrow.Good, save it and enjoy it when the sting of today's loss has worn off.
