So, you mean we can't have a bottom half offense and a bottom half starting pitching staff and stay above .500?

Next you're going to be talking crazy, pessimistic talk like 'Correia regression likely'.

Or I could get really depressing and talk about it in regards to Diamond too...

It's actually quite impressive that the Sandlot actors are still in the stadium watching the game six and a half hours later. And looking like they're enjoying themselves too.

Well, yeah, we just haven't talked about it around here yet, :)

Looking at the stat lines of the starting pitchers is painful enough without envisioning them getting any worse.

Nah, that one's out of the barn already, so citing him would just draw the ire of the 'hindsight 20/20; totally unforeseeable' mafia. Why not really poke the bear and throw in a negative medical staff comment?

So about 6 hours and 20 minutes, or, an average time of game for the Red Sox.

We could blame Diamond's regression on the medical staff itself.

2'fers!

I'm partial to Whiffingham.

Outstanding, and it also frees up Buck 97 in case Hicksie goes on a tear and raises his average 60 points...

Done and done. Now bring the heat, FO apologists! Lev, jokin and I are ready for you to do your worst...

Wait, I left out snepp, who, despite his moderator status, appears surprisingly eager for a fight. Watch out, amateur Twins PR flacks, you don't want none o' that!

Parmalee is like the kid from trouble with the curve. Except his movie would be trouble with the fastball

I'm not sayin' he's late on the heaters, but he K'ed on a Dempster fastball... today.

The only thing later than Parmalee on a fastball is me getting that joke.

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed when Parmelee makes contact, his bat sounds like balsa wood?

What? "In case?" Weren't you aware that Hicksie is already on a tear? And becoming a "team leader", too! Did anyone else notice that Hicksie obviously taught Whiffie that "play the ball off your glove" play for an XBH?

The truth hurts so good, I can only laugh so as not to puke. After this Red Sox series, the flashbacks and reliving of 2011 and 2012 is becoming all too real again

Yep, it was a joke, on account of Dempster pitched yesterday...

Y'all ain't laughin', though...

Did Hammer even get his glove on the ball? I thought it hit his wrist.

Maybe a little glove and a lot of wrist, but hey! at least it wasn't off his head like Conseco. Still think he and Hicksie are prime contenders for top plays on "Not The Top Ten".

Given my apparent inability to adequately process it, I expect the laugh to come sometime around 4 pm tomorrow.

Good, save it and enjoy it when the sting of today's loss has worn off.
