Duran?

Does anyone know what the scoop is with Duran and his immigration issues?  Hopefully it's not serious, as the twins have dealt with that before with Fernando Romero.

The biggest advantage is he is already in the United States. As to what the current issue is I have no idea.

Romero tried to bring marijuana across the border, IIRC. I don't think we have the details on Duran but it didn't sound like he was doing anything illegal.

Yeah, this is an odd time for an issue to happen.  Spring training is usually when this is most likely to occur.  

Perhaps he was approved on a conditional basis based on compliance with a requirement of some kind?

I wonder if players are starting to catch up to Duran and hope he can adjust and find a groove again and this is just a blip. Good thing he wasn’t converted back to being a starter.

From what I read in the Trib this morning, it had to do with them needing his fingerprints, and that they had to do it in person. Kind of odd timing.

I don't think anyone is catching up to him per se.  I think when you walk 3 people in an inning expect to give up at least 1 run.  Maybe he was just off a little yesterday.

What?  After today what?  Are you kidding me? Should I not be concerned about  three walks and a pitch 5 feet outside the strike zone?  Should I be concerned that I might be the only person on this site that seemed to notice the fact that he sat for a week between his first and second appearance this year because he hurt his arm while sleeping?  Don't get me wrong, I love the guy.  And yes I do think the should be starting.  My opinion.  And, yes, part of  that opinion is based on the fact that I think in the back of his mind he realizes that NOT being a starter will negatively impact his career earning potential, maybe severely and I think that will cause him to leave town at the first opportunity and I don't want that to happen.  Or am I supposed to wait for someone to tell me what my opinion is supposed to be.
