howeda7 Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Is there any thought to having Hicks just hit RH? His RH swing is so much better.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Sorry to hear that. This game is now rotten. Keeping KC in seems like a pretty major mistake, even from 30,000 feet up.
one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Bloop and a blast, let's go. Dickbert mentioned this was Crain's third year with Chicago. Seems like he's been gone much longer than that. Guess its the interminable nature of the last 2 seasons.

amjgt Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 So Gardy was prepared to use 3 pitchers once we fell behind, but wanted to make sure to keep the guys fresh when we were tied.

glunn Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 as opposed to what, 900 feet? As opposed to my living room where I could watch the game.
buckninetyone Provisional Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 As opposed to my living room where I could watch the game. it would seem a mistake is the same at any elevation. why did you think you had to mention it?
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 it would seem a mistake is the same at any elevation. why did you think you had to mention it? A fart smells bad from 5 feet away, but when you can smell it from 30,000 feet, it is probably a very bad fart. Please note that game threads often include fooling around and socializing.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Tough loss. It seems to me that keeping KC in was a clear mistake.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Parmelee's struggles are at the same time being accentuated and minimalized by the solid play of Arcia and Morneau. It's probably going to take a pretty severe and rapid increase in production or he might get labled a goat and never be able to shake it wearing a Twins uniform.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I'm not going to offer an opinion on whether Gardenhire was right or wrong to leave KC in, or whether the bullpen should have been warming up because I wasn't watching the game, but I wonder if looking ahead was a part of that decision, good or bad as it may be? We've got Pelfrey going on Wednesday, and that just about guarantees we'll need 3+ innings, if not 4, from the bullpen, and during an afternoon game to boot. I wonder if that factored into his thinking.
