stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Should be a warm one. It's also supposed to be breezy. Does a SW wind indicate the wind blowing out?

Straight out to CF---I have a feeling there are going to be some dented ERAs tonight. The temperature is already hitting over 100F in Northern Iowa and Southwest MN, the intense heat is heading right in this direction--- Twins Promotion this evening?---Blanket Night!

A SW wind is blowing to LF not CF. From HP to straight Center is Due East. North is the line from First to Third. Also it looks like the Wind will be out of the West by game time and shifting to WNW by the end of the game. So in that aspect the wind will be to CF/Right Center for the game.

That's what I said, "straight to CF", right after looking at the weatherunderground forecast, sorry about the mix-up, I shorthanded my answer.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Sometimes I miss the good old days when the winds could be summoned by the flip of a switch: http://www.aem.umn.edu/outreach/Baseball_Launcher/startrib1.pdf
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I worked my arse off today, and because I made more progress on my landscaping project than I ever I imagined I would, my wife absolved me of attending a choir concert. I guess it helped that I broke a toe. It would be a perfect day if she were to come home and tell me we are going out to eat at a craft beer friendly joint.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 de Aza watched that dribble half way up the first base line before remembering he should probably take off for first.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Since coming to the Sox, Peavey has pretty much owned the Twins. He's coming off an injury (back IIRC), let's see if the Twins can get some good swings against him.

Good Lord, didn't you guys just have snow a week or so ago?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Hammer is in the biggest funk of his Twins career. 4-36 with only two XBHs (doubles) since May 1.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Good Lord, didn't you guys just have snow a week or so ago?Over a foot of snow at my house 12 days ago.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I turn away and it's 2-0 Back2Back jacks I see.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 This is going to be one of those games where the Sox will hit a couple solo homers, and we will fart around until Peavy is gone, then have a big inning.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I turn away and it's 2-0 Back2Back jacks I see.Cheap ones. Dunn's didn't even make the third deck.
