Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I'm switching off between Sweet Child of Vine, and Surly Bender mixed with Furious.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 It only took 2 years for the Twins to learn to turn two.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Sounds good to me, the only thing I've got at the moment are some 6-month-old Mich Golden Lights. The good news is they aren't any worse now than the day I bought them.

glunn Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I am posting from 20,000 feet over Arkansas -- flying back to California. This would be more fun if the Twins were winning.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Bad umpiring mostly by young umps.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Bad umpiring mostly by young umps. Please elaborate for those of us who cannot see what's happening.
big dog Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Please elaborate for those of us who cannot see what's happening. Adam Dunn hit a grounder that Dozier fielded in the outfield. He threw to Morneau for the out, even though Dunn had already crossed the bag.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Dunn called out, but clearly safe on grounder hit to Dozier playing in shallow RF with the shift -- Glunn. Now, Hammer leads off with a crushed double off the r/cf wall.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Someone inform Plouffe he's not allowed to get hits w/RISP, it's been proven that all he does is hit solo homers.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Thanks guys for explaining that -- I am stuck on an airplane.

amjgt Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 C'mon Gardy, I think you are the only one that has any confidence in Correia in the 8th.
amjgt Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 2 batters late. Gardy was the only one that didn't see that Correia was losing control. So frustrating
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I know that now this will appear insincere, but I couldn't believe KC went out to begin the 8th at all with his pitch count... and that it was a tie game in the 8th and all. Another poor managing decision.
big dog Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I agree in principle, but hasn't the bullpen been getting mangled with overuse? I'm seeing more of Casey Fein than I'm seeing of my kids these days.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 No, I vote we don't discourage him. But, science!

I'm seeing more of Casey Fein than I'm seeing of my kids these days. Perkins has kinda been criminally underused this season. I wouldn't mind seeing him in the 8th of a tie game if you really need to protect the rest of the pen.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I had no issue leaving Corriea in if we were still behind. Felt like a CG for Peavy, I was ready to concede the loss. But once it was tied I would have gotten him out of there.

Inexcusable to leave Correia out there. He was clearly losing it and we were lucky to be tied. We hadn't deserved to be tied, but it sure was nice that we were.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 You purchased the WIFI? Yes, to reduce boredom and to make up for a rotten trip.
one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 KC in the 8th is indefensible. I know Morneau isn't the hitter he once was, but he has done a really nice job in the field this year.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Yes, to reduce boredom and to make up for a rotten trip.Sorry to hear that. This game is now rotten.
