Well they won in spite of all their mistakes and their terrible clutch hitting. Props to Worley and the bullpen (and Chicago's punchless lineup).

Win Twins! Worley looked good today (as I watched the radio). The Sox radio guys were basically laughing about the strike zone, though started complaining near the end as it got a little tighter and also less consistent. Farmer is such a complete idiot. If you ever want to hear a game called in which 40% of the conversation is stories from the 1980s or inane things like asking Darrin Jackson if there were guys he couldn't hit (a question that must come up every two weeks), tune in.

 

Revere is really struggling right now, hitting .220 with 11 k's. I hope he turns it around- Philly could eat him alive before long and he doesn't deserve that. Neither did Mike Schmidt, of course, and it didn't help him.

Interesting, that hit n run with Dozier/Mauer was a straight steal and Mauer just swung at the pitch

Looks to me like Ventura is overmanaging his roster. I know Konerko is glacier slow, but there was a good chance that the game could come back to him. Also, he went through a lot of pitchers in a short time. The "defensive" changes that the Sox made directly led to the winning run. The ump had a big strike zone and the wind was blowing in from left, those are very good pitching conditions and both Worley and Peavey took advantage of that. Doumit ended up making an excellent baserunning move which might have made a difference in Ramirez' throw.
