I would say the exact opposite. You don't want your pitcher catching pop ups... Especially trying to catch it over his shoulder... Florimon has to call for it... Vance has to get out of the way.

 

That didn't happen... Bad baseball.

Yup, pitcher calls the square dance, IF's earn their pay checks.

I'm thrilled for hicks that he's drawing walks, and maybe that's a sign that the rest of it will start coming around.

 

That being said, if I'm an opposing manager and I see a my fresh reliever walk Aaron Hicks, a watercolor's life is immediately forfeit.

At least Konerko is out of the game if it goes extras. Where I managing, I'd be reluctant to take a bat like that out of the lineup for such a minor baserunning advantage.
