Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2022 Author Posted April 28, 2022 I'd do 12 for 29 and 30 (I think.....but, risky). I'd rather do 12 and a mid round pick to Pitt for their 1st and 2nd....

If Sauce Gardner and Stingley are gone, be on the lookout for a WR pick. Sounds like Garrett Wilson is the top WR on our board. Trading down is a realistic possibility. Steam around the league is picks 11-14 will be the sweet spot for teams like Pittsburgh to move up for their QB. PA has been hyping up Malik Willis. Not sure if he’s prepping us for a surprise pick, or a smoke screen. Wow...you sacrificed time for Paul Allen. Then endured his painful brand of obnoxiousness to bring these to us. Hats off to you sir. You're a hero.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2022 Author Posted April 28, 2022 Good thing I can't watch, I read it is straight up military propaganda again. The NFL sure has a bit....
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Doogie Wolfson saying the Cowboys are looking to trade up with us.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2022 Author Posted April 28, 2022 I still imagine one of the crazy deals some pundit said could happen months ago, with the Vikings getting multiple picks from the Jets for Hunter (seems impossible)....

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Both CBs gone in the top 5. I’m firmly on team WR or team trade down.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Pushing down Wilson to us is going to make that KC offer a real possibility. Or someone like AZ desperate for Johnson if he's there. I didn't trust Stingley.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Should be a run of OL starting now. Giants will take one, maybe Atlanta, maybe Seattle.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 I think we're getting to choose between Jermaine Johnson and Kyle Hamilton - I'd pull the trigger on Johnson, didn't think he'd make it to 12.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 There goes one trade partner. Saints trading up to 11. For Willis I assume.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Author Posted April 29, 2022 Terrible trade. Awful value. Awful. Terrible.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Just now, Mike Sixel said: Terrible trade. Awful value. Awful. Terrible. The value isn't great but it reflects the draft.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Why the hell would the Vikings have to give up #42?!? Dumb. Should have been #32 and 2023’s 1sr rounder.
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Drop 20 spots in first and second round to get one extra 2nd rd pick?
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Author Posted April 29, 2022 I'm already down on the new guy
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 If you see this draft as being basically a wash from about 10-50....the trade makes sense. They didn't want to overdraft a dude at 12, so they took the best they could. I can see why you don't like it. At the same time....we absolutely could get two really good starters out of this rather than 1.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Nobody gets played by Detroit. Embarrassing. At least they won’t end up getting a franchise QB out of it.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Everyone is pissed off over at Purple Pain, and yes, it's a bad trade, but it's not the end of the world. I am frustrated they didn't go for a blue chipper like Johnson or Hamilton.
