Odd thing is , in 2019 they brought in a cluster of Free Agents and it paid off, why not now?

Mets make moves to own free agency; Eduardo Escobar, Mark Canha, now Starling Marte. Geez, I guess Billy Eppler found the check book.

Update: Add Max Scherzer at $43.3 mil a year for 3 years. OUCH.
