cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 What has gotten into this team?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Author Posted April 21, 2021 Man, I've been a supporter of Willians for quite a while, but it's getting pretty predictable every at bat. Swing at one of the first 2 pitches in the top third of the zone that results in a popup. Hitting the ball is good and all, but not hitting the ball hard is no better than not hitting it at all.

jun Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Rooker, .063 hard to doThey are competing who can hit lower and lower and lower avg. A blind guy might hit better.
jun Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 This team is just not interested in winning.
Taildragger8791 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Are we going to go through a double-header without ever getting into the other team's bullpen? Woof.

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Cave not available to pinch hit for Jeffers?
jun Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Btw, I prefer Jeffers over Garver. At least Jeffers can call a good game. At this point I don't even care about his bat. Garver is not doing anything well anyway and he's old and expensive for his production.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Leadoff walk. Three straight K’s.
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 You’re joking. That wasn’t a strike.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Author Posted April 21, 2021 that was a strike...JD has to put one of those other pitches in play. On second look JD didn't even try to argue it, which is pretty telling. That was a strike.

cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Like if Robles should be our closer
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Author Posted April 21, 2021 Like if Robles should be our closerYep. If he got his fastball velo back, which he did, I was in line with this thinking.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 I haven't seen the Twins play this flat since 2018

MNT1996 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Missed the playoffs, did ya? Well I guess the Twins playing flat in the playoffs is just sort of a given
