This is the last Friday without a game until October. I thought folks might need a thread to post this, that, the other thing, and random stuff. You know, like a game thread but without the game.

I'll start.

In theory, in theory and in practice are the same. But in practice, in theory and in practice are not the same.

An unrelated point (aren't they all?):

 

I'm still showing up with a status of "Chattanooga Lookouts." Do I get to be a Blue Wahoo instead? Some people have accused me of being a Wahoo for many decades, so it's probably appropriate. On the other hand, I don't think anyone ever nominated me to be a Lookout --- too much responsibility!

Click on your username near the top of the page and pick "My Profile" in the dropdown menu. Click the black Edit my Profile box, then go down to "Member TItle" and enter the string you would prefer. There are other user-settable items on this page - knock yourself out!

Wow. I thought I was sentenced to the Twins News Team forever, a tag, iirc, I recieved as a carrot to quit be such a disruption (though I contributed "news/opinions").  I'll have to think of proper tag.  Levi still has his.  Does jokin?

Yes. Parker Hageman, Nick Nelson, John Bonnes and Tom Froemming, among others, all got their start in online journalism by being one warning point from the moderators away from a permanent ban at TD. Originally TD was just moderators, and then we started allowing members, and eventually culled some owners and featured writers from among the worst of the worst offenders.
