I like Gray better then Grienke (I have little interest personally, that contract is mammoth) as many have suggested, but I could see a rebuilding team snap him up to hope for a rebound and trade.  

 

I'm not wholly opposed to acquiring Gray, but I'm skeptical.  I don't want to dismiss those poor games at Yankees Stadium completely.

It will not hurt the Twins, but they still 2 starters better than Berrios to compete in the postseason, and Gray is not one of them.  If he replaces Odorizzi as the Twins' number 5th starter, and does not cost more than the aforementioned Odorizzi and someone with no future in the organization like Wade or Slegers I am all for it...

What kind of timeline do you have for this? Do you see the Twins doing this and making meaningful improvements to the bullpen and infield in one or two off-seasons?

Better make it this off-season while the division is still weak and Cleveland gets weaker...

You are right with what you say, but I debate the total impact.  I am tired of mediocrity and I am ready for us to make a real statement.  I want true improvement, not increments.  When you reach my age you do not want those small improvements that lead to a championship when I reach age 100.

Let's hope.  Getting C J Cron looks like a good off season start.  I would have liked to have had Donaldson too, but the Braves got him.
