AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Stewart and Gonsalves were both drafted (out of high school) in the same year, and promoted on similar timeframes. Stewart was the top pick, while Gonsalves had the chip on his shoulder for being drafted later (fourth), due to some questions about character. Gonsalves has produced better minor league numbers than Stewart and has generally passed him as a prospect. But it makes sense that Stewart got the opportunity first. Good luck to him, and congratulations!

howieramone2 Verified Member Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 I would argue one point that isn't good news, Grossman being DFA'd would be good news.No it wouldn't. Our best players are basically TR's guys and board scapegoats.
howieramone2 Verified Member Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Heh... I have to concur- Must have missed that tidbit. Why Wade isn't up instead is just another one of those Twink-perplexing moves. My God, if they activate Belisle again, I'll lose what's left of my mind... Corner outfielders with no pop are a dime a dozen. Him and Granite are AAAA types.
HrbekRules Verified Member Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 No it wouldn't. Our best players are basically TR's guys and board scapegoats.Grossman is a player mediocre teams use. There is no way a team like the Astros or Yankees are playing Grossman over 50% of the time. Its time to move on from mediocre players and role with youth that may end up being mediocre, but at least they have chance to be better, Grossman is who he is.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 No it wouldn't. Our best players are basically TR's guys and board scapegoats.Hence the TR-like W/L record?
