That probably isn’t a pitch Sano should swing at ahead 3-1. According to gameday, it was a slider on the border of low and outside. It probably would be called, but the 3-2 pitch is probably a better pitch.

Really?  I'm pretty positive that if that pitch is called a strike, the next pitch is 2-4 inches further outside.  I think I've seen it about 173 times last year, and about 72 times so far this year.
