Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 Currently at 2,999! Maybe this is just me, but this isn't discussed enough. Or maybe I'm not paying attention. Either way, what an amazing career he's had.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 IMO, he was probably the most fearsome hitter of his era. Maybe I'm forgetting someone, but nobody would've made me more nervous to face in a clutch situation as a pitcher.
zenser Verified Member Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 He has been such a fun player to watch. From what I have heard and read is a great person in the community as well.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2018 Author Posted May 5, 2018 Congratulations to Mr. Pujols for joining the exclusive 3k hit club last night!
jimmer Verified Member Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 4th guy with 3K or more hits and 600 or more HR.

Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 Without doing actual research, I feel comfortable calling Pujols a top 15 hitter all time. At least during that 10 year peak that Chief posted. Congrats to him for achieving the 3k his milestone.

snepp Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 He'll finish somewhere in the top 10 in doubles as well.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 He'll finish somewhere in the top 10 in doubles as well. Pujols is at #9 all-time right now in doubles with 626 (Molitor is also in the 600 club @ 605- 15 players all-time with 600+ doubles, 9 players all-time with 600+ HRs). Amazingly, only 3 players all-time with 3000 hits, 600 HR + 2B. Aaron, Bonds and Pujols. Only 2 of whom with all of the above, plus career .300+ BA, that being Aaron and Pujols). As close to automatic first ballot HOFer as anybody in the last 30 years.
