I go back & forth. I could see regression & a disappointing end.

But this is Opening Day & thats not a day for pessimism!

94-68 & Division Champs. Twins win AT LEAST one postseason series.

Off POY: Buck (big time breakout year)

Most HR: Morrison (Just not confident Sano stays healthy all season)

SPOY: Berrios

RPOY: Reed (I get credit if it turns out to be Jake, not Addison)

ROY: Garver

I'm with many and their comments about the Indians. I don't think they're a lock for the division either and certainly not as good as they were last year.

But, when I put the numbers through my head I still didn't see the Twins improvement overtaking a regression from them. I think they'll be battling it out for the crown the whole year. Twins around 90 wins and Indians just a few more.

Overall health, which you can't predict, obviously changes things if/when something happens to either team.

I picture the Twins starting rotation going a tad deeper into games than in the past (meaning they only need a 7-man bullpen) and winning between 70-75 games amongst themselves. Of course that only happens if the batter outscore the other team. Career years from Gibson and Santana (both eyeing free agency), solid dependable work from Lynn, Berrios will shine, especially early in the season, and Odorizzi will be the surprise.

Again, it all depends on Paul Molitor finding the correct lineup and sticking with the players and no major injuries on that end.

I'm happy for the potential bullpen depth. If we lost in the beginning, I hope it isn't just because of closer Rodney.

Record: 85-77. Miss playoffs

Two gold gloves (Mauer and some guy who plays CF).

12 different starting pitchers (but only 9 before September 1st).

Morrison on a 60 day DL.

You left out the part where Mauer leaves behind five magic eggs that hatch into clones of Killebrew, Oliva, Puckett, Kaat and Johan Santana who are immediately signed to 100 year contracts and who never age. The clones lead the team to 100 straight World Series victories.

On a more serious note, these predictions suggest lots of upside for lots of players. I hope that most of them come true. I also look forward to the predictions of TD members.

I think I saw that movie.

The phantom strike zone attacks the clones.

Right?
