IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 I found it ... if you look at the online schedule on the Twins site, they list this 2nd game as the make up game.Have my co-workers been paying you off? With the second game considered the makeup, our office rules consider this to be the completion of a sweep, since the Twins won the other two games back in May. That means donuts for the office next time I'm in. AND, since it's not a normal sweep, but a sweep of the White Sox, this calls for more than your basic Dunkin' Donuts. It's off to the local Amish bakery to celebrate. USAFChief 1

Makes it all the worse that was his debut startI sympathize, too. But consider: Fulmer has realized more success in his vocation than 98 percent of all people who've ever lived. He'll get over it. He has to.

ThejacKmp Provisional Member Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 Missed the first game, watched most of the second game while posting elsewhere and figuring up checkbook. Loved what I see from Gee. Have to ask, with the big lead and good pitch count, despite losing a bit, was he taken out too early? Likely was on a bit of a pitch count seeing as he hasn't exactly been stretched out of late. that's why that outing is so good, I bet they only expected 4 innings. So is the rotation now Santana, Berrios, Colon, Gibson and Gee? With Gibson/Gee pitching for their job every time and Slegers and eventually Mejia waiting in the wings?

ThejacKmp Provisional Member Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 No thread for tonight yet. I'm excited to face Giolito. His MILB splits have righties with a .671 OPS and lefties with a .879 OPS. And that's the minors. The Twins will likely send seven lefties to the plate, assuming that Vargas DH's. We will need that with Kyle Gibson on the mound. I love the Twins ability to throw tons of lefties in the lineup.
