So YOU'RE one of the 36 people at this game?

Yep. And I'm not sharing my vantage point for this one lest my identity be easily revealed. But I could really use a shower after sitting through that first game. But I suppose you didn't need to know that.

I hope you aren't down the LF line by the pole

A rude woman stole a ball from a young man

I wouldn't do that. I've had the opposite done to me, though.

Dozier is no longer the master of the high fastball. He now does the same with the low fastball.

And Fulmer is done.

Man, I'm getting so soft. I feel terrible for the opposing pitcher.

Hey, I'm there with you.

Did I just see why Vargas isn't on the club unless absolutely necessary? Did he just jog out a double play with a man on 3rd?

That or because he's really slow.

That may have been him at full speed...

But I get what you're saying.

Doubleheaders have historically been a split. The White Sox aren't a totally inept team, so can't expect to win all the games here.If they lose the series, then that is reason to be upset.

It was an example of going young, not him specifically. Stop with the old, never was, players. Apparently that was not clear?

I mean, the guy you're citing, Slegers, isn't a top 30 prospect and is unlikely to turn into anything amazing. If I told you Slegers is on the 2019 Twins you'd assume he's a middle reliever and you're probably sad that he's made the team. The young Twins would be Jorge, Romero or Gonsalves - those are legitimate prospects. Romero is on an innings limit, Jorge had mixed results and Gonsalves hasn't really done AAA yet. That leaves you with "the old, never was players".

What are you gonna do? Starting pitching wasn't a strength and the team is pretty deep in its starting pitching depth - May, Santiago, Mejia, Enns are all injured. No team is great when it hits starting pitchers 10-15. I'm actually impressed that they have guys as good as Sledgers/Melville/Gee/Wheeler/Hurlburt when they hit that far into their depth. Some nice pickups, even if you don't love seeing them start.

In my mind, the Twins have given starts to fringe MLBers three times in the last week due to doubleheader/injury mischief. It worked out with Slegers, didn't with Melville and looks okay with Gee thus far (knocks on wood). Going 2-1 in those games would be nice.
