glunn Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 I'm stepping outside for a moment, agitation level rising far too quickly.I broke out the rheumatism medicine 5 minutes ago.
glunn Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Rogers at 22 pitches -- take him out if he does not get this batter.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 So Molitor lets Gibson face at least 1 too many hitters, then finds a way to get Rogers into a 6-1 game and throw 22 pitches (when he's already way too overworked). Awful.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Do you think it's possible you're exaggerating a tad? Nope,,,,, like I said.... numb
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Well, I just vouched that Kintzler can be a stopper, not just a closer.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 whew... While we have a minute, what's the difference between people from Dubai and people from Abu Dhabi?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Wow. what else can go wrong. Upton golfs a pitch way inside and low and hits the pole, Kepler misplays/is fooled and misses the catch, Sano bounces the throw and Mauer fails do make the dig...... Wow. And the tie goes to the runner, except when it is figured out correctly in the replay and the ump already guessed out. Dozier.... seemed to be dreaming. Wake up! Dodged a bullet there. Could use some runs.

glunn Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 I was planning to leave for dinner almost an hour ago. Now, I feel like we deserve insurance runs.
glunn Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 There's no such thing as a tie.Not if the ball touches the glove and the runner touches the base at the exact same moment?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 There's no such thing as a tie. There is no such thing as no such thing, therefore, there is such thing as a tie.
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Can't help but have an underwhelming feeling even if the Twins win. Oh and Mauer sucks again.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 whew... While we have a minute, what's the difference between people from Dubai and people from Abu Dhabi?People from Dubai don't like the Flintstones. People from Abu Dhabi do.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 If the Twins don't blow this game, that will actually be quite encouraging. Good teams do manage to hold off late charges by their opponents.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Not if the ball touches the glove and the runner touches the base at the exact same moment?Nope, it's not in the rule book. There is no such thing as a tie. Either the ball beat the runner, or the runner beat the ball. Those are the only two possibilities discussed.

Those are the only two possibilities discussed. It is an unwritten rule, passed down for a hundred plus years. Aren't you found of the unwritten rules?
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Kintzler v. Kinsler. This makes me uncomfortable, like a bad spelling bee.

glunn Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Yes! Dinner will be sweet tonight.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Good thing that wasn't Granite making the throw to second. By the time it bounced in, Iglesias could have been on third..... . (Now I am exaggerating.... just a little bit, though)
