I know it's not politically correct, but I'm saying it anyway. Zach Granite appears to be the white Ben Revere.

I already made the comparison. You're late. :) Though, I wasn't quite as pithy.

In AAA this year, Granite was 6 for 14 in games pitched by Smith, with a double, triple and walk, and no Ks.

PHEW! What a Houdini act.

It's about to rain cats and dogs, judging by the radar. Although I have zero clue where TF is relative to Minneapolis. Could be somewhere near golden valley or little Canada for all I know.

These are not the Yankees of the past. They just don't have that Yankees swagger. It's kind of weird.

They aren't the Yankees of the past, but the no name young guys are good and they're hurting us the most tonight.

They still seem to be getting Yankee ump calls, though.

The thing is, there's no evidence Polanco has "tons" of offensive ability.

His career minor league OPS is .750 something, and his last real good season was in rookie ball.

I think people sometimes see what they want to see.

He's only just turned 24 now. I'm inclined to expect we haven't seen his best major league season yet. A guy who hit above .270 in AAA at age 22, with non-negligible pop, still has a chance to be good. If somebody said "tons", that might be overstating the potential. But middle infielders don't have to have tons of offensive potential to still be important contributors. I don't trade Polanco except for a really solid pitching prospect.

It's pretty much right in the middle, if you're actually curious. If it's raining in downtown, it's absolutely raining at Target Field.

It's 2-2 for God's sake, they're laying a real licking on them for sure.

Thought, to be fair, that guy with only a couple games under his belt and with horrible older brothers, is actually doing quite a lot of damage.

I doubt you could get a really solid pitching prospect.

lol I'm not saying that, just pointing out that both pitchers are guys they just called up, a guy they just traded for has three hits and an RBI. Frazier has 2 hits. Ellsbury, judge, gregorious, and Castro have none.

Enough damage to keep it 2-2......meh.

Mejia isn't exactly a household name. If I had a nickel for every AAA pitcher who confounded a major league team for a few games, I'd have.......a LOT of nickels.

Andrew Albers......nuff said.
