Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Hold onto your butts! Here comes second half Dozier! Riverbrian and Don Walcott 2
drock2190 Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 That was ugly. I think Berrios threw a total of 3 strikes that inning! Luckily, the Astros put them in play. Don Walcott 1
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Author Posted July 15, 2017 That fastball he threw to Dozier is still traveling in his mind. Back in high school I broke my index finger on my right hand playing baseball. In order to keep playing I taped my index finger to my middle finger. I was the catcher and I called for fastball and I got a curve and the ball hit the umpire. I told the ump "Sorry... we were crossed up". Went to the mound and told the pitcher that my fingers are taped together so It's only counts as a one. I told him I would make a fist when I wanted a curve. Went back... needed a curve and called for it with my fist. My fingers were still taped together so those two fingers still stuck out. Got a Fastball and the ball hit the ump. Blake and Don Walcott 2

ChiTown is Fantastic. With her help... the comprehension goes from 10% to 19%. Squirrel and Blake 2

Guest Guests Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 With any luck, the next time they there'll be yet another. It could be awesome if Hunter Pence became President!
jimmer Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 I'm going to stick my neck out and guess that the Cubs also did better in one half of that season than in the other. It's a long season.Yup, better in the 2nd half. 60% winning% first half, 69% in the 2nd half.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Dick just said Aaron Judge wasn't strike out prone. 109 K in 301 AB? You be the Judge, bwahahahahahahaha! Riverbrian 1

jimmer Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 (edited) that's not a bad hop. that's a normal hop. play just wasn't made. don't make excuses for them.(that was to the announcers) Edited July 15, 2017 by jimmer Intramural Legend 1
jimmer Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 'The game has changed' Hey Torii, it's been a season and a half since you played.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Author Posted July 15, 2017 Sing the praaises of veteran players Torii... I'll see if I can write that song... Here goes Veteran Players... I've come to praise you. It took awhile just to raise you. You know the in's and you know the out'syou get the benefit of the doubt. That's what I got so far. I'll have to keep working on it. jimmer 1

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Author Posted July 15, 2017 Polanco gets eaten alive by anything other than a perfect hop. That's was a big one. We would have been out of the inning.
jimmer Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Just cause the shift didn't produce an out THAT time doesn't make it a bad move to do the shift. Jeez Louise. Lots of ridiculous coming out of the announcers' mouths today.

jimmer Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Bregman likes the same kind of pitches Dozier does.
jimmer Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 (edited) Astros have 3 of the top 6 guys in position player AL WAR. And #19 too. Edited July 15, 2017 by jimmer
jimmer Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 (edited) So hitters hate 3-2 counts more than 0-2, 1-2 and 2-2 counts. Interesting (or B.S.). Edited July 15, 2017 by jimmer
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Author Posted July 15, 2017 Polanco is like our personal Bartman this inning.
Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 This team is mentally weak. The "veteran" presence they have isn't working.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 I hate George Springer almost as much as I hate Jose Ramirez.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Looks a lot like the 2016 Berrios. Should have been out of the inning on an easy double play. Instead he gives up a bunch of runs.
jimmer Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Phil Hughes getting loose. Now I feel better.
