Well, today was a good old fashioned let's play two tomorrow rain out. When that happens, I tend to find myself watching the previous game's highlights over and over. And so, today I watched Kennys Vargas hit a game tying two run blast several times. More than several. Maybe a dozen. I watched the pitch and the swing, I watched Vargas admire it for a moment, and I watched the fan in the upper deck try to jump(?) for it.

 

And then, I started paying attention to Torii Hunter, who uttered a phrase as Vargas approached third base that it took me a while to place.

LaTroy Hawkins was in the bullpen for that game. They showed him a couple of times while Dick and Torii talked about how good he looked out there. And I think they talked about the jacket he was wearing. I was half-listening during that part of the game.

 

I'm pretty sure anyway. If anyone can give me an "Amen," I'd feel much better about this entire thread.

I think it was indeed Torii.  I checked Torii's twitter account and he's used that phrase before.  Also, the Twins reddit thread also said it was Hunter on the call.   My bad!

Torii could become quite an announcer if he keeps interjecting little things like that into his game.  I mean everyone remembers Chris Berman and he would always do things like that during his ESPN Gametime routines.
