What's funny, is that I was pointed back to this kind of Rock and Roll when the last show of "Breaking Bad" played Badfinger's "Baby Blue."

 

I'd forgotten just how good that stuff was along with how much talent there was back then. I enjoyed some of the hair bands and the heavy metal of the nineties but after that? I though music took a huge step backward when Rap became ascendant. 

 

Yes, I know the younger crowd likes rap but, I just don't get it. Well, unless it's this:

 

Definitely a Weird Al fan as well. That's the beauty of music, really. All of it is timeless, and most people favor the music they grew up with. Especially the music that occurred during your teen years.... Just getting your license, stepping in the car on your own for the first time, and pumping the tunes!!

 

I fully admit the music of my generation is mostly bad. Every once in a while I find a new band or song I like, but I always bring it back to 90s - mid 2000s grunge rock and alternative. Incubus is a top 5 all-time band for me, and they're coming to Austin on August 5th!

Hey, if you get a chance, look up Apocalyptica. Metallica cover band using 4 cellos. This is them with Hetfield.

I wonder if that's how Hetfield got the inspiration to do a concert with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra?

 

All that's missing from the video with Apocalyptica is a HEAVY guitar to mix in.

Interestingly enough, from what I understand, Hetfield and Lars Ulrich are very much into music theory. 

 

Their vehicle just turned out to be metal. 

 

Anyway, I thought it was great that Ulrich and Hetfield were more than willing to appear with Apocalyptica and thought it was cool.

There are plenty around. Though it is kinda creepy to be taking pictures of random women.

I'm glad they are. If you have Spotify download the S&M album from Metallica. Or search for their songs when they played with the SFSO.

 

It's a really great collaboration. The way they compliment eachother makes for a great concert to listen to. Wish I was a bit older at the time to attend!

Get home, turn on MLB.tv, Twins are up, pull up the box score, first inning, look to see how Baltimore scored and who's pitching, then we'll go to the 5 run inning and see how that happened.
