Squirrel Community Moderator Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Not sure if this will be 'radio-ized' or televized at all ... and this will be a quick 'get it started' game thread as the game will be starting in minutes. MNTSchmitt Verified Member Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Thankfully the game is televised on MLB Network for all you cable heads. Had to listen to the Twins broadcast last night. Registered for MLB TV once again. Die Hard Twins fan posting from Trinity, FL. I'll be going to 6 games this Spring Training. One of the many perks of living in the spring training area of Florida. I'll be sure to post some pictures from the games as well. Glad to join the community. Hopefully Phil throws well. I was pleased with Gibby last night.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted February 25, 2017 Author Posted February 25, 2017 And the REd Sox draw first blood in the 1st off Hughes ...
AZTwin Verified Member Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Call me crazy but I think park finds his way back on the 40 man over vargas
AZTwin Verified Member Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Anyone know if any of the young pitchers (Romero, Stewart, gonsalves) are in major league camp and might get an inning today?
AZTwin Verified Member Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Home run for park after his nice pickup in the field.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted February 25, 2017 Author Posted February 25, 2017 Call me crazy but I think park finds his way back on the 40 man over vargasI don't think that's crazy at all. If that happens, I don't think it will happen right away, but who knows.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 And the REd Sox draw first blood in the 1st off Hughes ... It's early in ST so I'm not going to judge. That's a good thing for Hughes because he ain't close to fooling anyone. I suppose its too soon for demanding mid-season form.
MNTSchmitt Verified Member Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Park off to a nice start this spring. He went yard!

It wasn't a judgement ... just giving others who might not be able to listen/watch ... and idea of what's happening.

I wouldn't be suprised if he makes it over Vargas as well.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted February 25, 2017 Author Posted February 25, 2017 Mid 2: 2-1 Red Sox, Circus Boy update. Ooops ... edited for correction.
MNTSchmitt Verified Member Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 I'll be going to six games this ST. Next saturday against the Blue Jays. The monday night game against the Pirates in Bradenton. The sat game against the Red Sox. The thursday game on the 23 agains the Phillies in clearwater and saturday the 25 in Sarasota against the O's. And the last Monday against the Pirates in Bradenton. If any of the posters are going, it be cool to meet any of you. To bad the Twins don't play the Rays in the regular season till September in Tampa.
MNTSchmitt Verified Member Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Good throw to 1st by Hughes.
MNTSchmitt Verified Member Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 5-4-3 Round the hound. One of the prettiest plays in baseball. Nice way to end the inning.

So far I'll be at the games in Ft. Myers on the 21st (v Phillies) and 24th (v Orioles). And I'll try to get to the rest of the games during the time I'll be in The Fort (until Apr. 1).

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Lol ... well, that IS judgment ... but ohhhhhh so tasty ... for the other team! Very creative of Neil Allen to add Parsley to what Hughes is throwing
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted February 25, 2017 Author Posted February 25, 2017 Very creative of Neil Allen to add Parsley to what Hughes is throwingI actually prefer this variety, with some lingonberry jam on the side:http://www.jocooks.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/swedish-meatballs-1-3-1.jpg
MNTSchmitt Verified Member Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Nice hit by Santana. Tie ball game.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted February 25, 2017 Author Posted February 25, 2017 And the Twins take the lead on a Park sac fly.

MNTSchmitt Verified Member Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Park has had a productive at bat everytime he's been at the plate these first 2 games.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted February 25, 2017 Author Posted February 25, 2017 I've never had Lingonberry. Nor seen one. What does it taste like?Cranberry-ish? Lingonberry jam is used as a garnish or relish with some meat dishes. (Well, it's a Scandinavian thing.)
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Park has had a productive at bat everytime he's been at the plate these first 2 games. I'll add that he got behind 0-2 on a couple of questionable looking strikes to boot before coming through with a Sac Fly. It was an impressive AB... IMO
