Luckily Dubnyk has bailed us out.

 

We still have 3 more back to becks this year, and the Hawks breathing down our necks. If Kuemper costs us the 1 seed I'll be pissed.

Lost 5 of 6, and have held a lead for a COMBINED 14 minutes over those 6 games.

Dubs has been bad, very bad over this stretch of games. It's about time he takes a break for a while, and then he can be the primary goalie again in the playoffs. 

For the duration of the season, I would switch Kuemps with Dubs, and give him some rest until the playoff stretch.

The problem with that is that Kuemper is awful, and the Wild would really like that top seed.

If you give Dubnyk days off, you are conceding that top spot.

Echoing Brooks. Not gonna happen. Bruce has NO confidence in Darcy, and neither does anyone in the locker room.

 

At the deadline, a small few were talking about grabbing a backup goalie. I though guy that made no sense. I've changed my tune. Would have been a good call if only we knew how crap Darcy is.

Trying not to be a reactionary, but I don't see how this team has any shot in the playoffs.

Dubnyk had a 24 game stretche where he we elite, but since then he's been one of the worst goalies in the league.

Just got back from that **** show. Dubnyk was bad today but holy hell 4 of the Jets D were barely AHL level players. 

 

Not a dig but the Wild need to get their crap together before the playoffs, they didn't impress me much today.

He has never looked THIS bad since he has been here. Shut him down this week regardless IMO.

 

Only way they catch the Hawks at this stage is if the Hawks melt down anyways.

 

Hopefully Nashville, LA or St. Louis can pull off the upset against them in round 1?

Wild, easily. Top of the conference most of the season, and now they're in free fall. And time's not on their side, considering they're back on the ice every other day from here on out and they're lone reliable netminder is running on empty.

I hate getting my hopes up for Minnesota sports. What a disaster these last few weeks have been. Maybe shouldn't have traded for Hanzel and White...team was clicking prior.

Trade deadline adds rarely make a big difference and are just as likely to upset chemistry. Good bottom 6 depth players on deep teams can pay dividends but picking up top 6 guys to play in bottom 6 roles usually doesn't work out.

 

Boudreau gassing his team is nothing new.

The one upside about pissing away the #1 seed, is that the Wild might be able to rest up a bit more heading into the playoffs then if they were still "battling" for it.

Would be nice to get a win against a good Sharks team tonight..

My crystal ball tells me that even if they do find a way to squeak through the 1st round, they'll get routed by whichever team they face in the 2nd round.   However, I think it's a coin flip on whether they can even survive the 1st round, regardless of which team they face.

I just read through the playoff format. Since the Wild are a near mortal lock to finish second in the division, they will play either Nashville or St Louis, whichever finishes third, the way I read the format. I don't know if that's a good matchup or not.

This playoff format sucks.

The Blackhawks are the best team in the conf and the wild are the 2nd best. It's all sorts of stupid that they would end up playing in the 2nd round.

 

Bettman is a freaking clown and needs to stop screwing up the game. Go back to the 1-8 seeding and be done with it.

I'm beyond done with the regular season... These last 3 weeks have been disheartening to say the least.
