You aren't the first to do it, and won't be the last......I just don't buy it. There have been people every generation that made that whole group be questioned by their parents and older people......we've never had the internet before to say it over and over (and to see such obvious examples). I work in the school system in CA. What I see on a daily basis tends to leave me jaded, though I know it's a small sample size. Still no excuse for such a generalization, however.

I'm talking about the minor league band.  The Twins were in such a hurry to please fans, that they brought up each of their young star prospects and never taught them the path to winning.

 

They should have (at some point) had: Rosario; Sano; Vargas; Buxton; Polanco; Kepler; Berrios; Duffy; Rogers; etc. - all play at the same level and EXPERIENCE winning a Championship title together.  As it is - only Polanco (1x) - Kepler (3x) - and Buxton (1x) know what winning a title feels like.  I suppose Hunter, Hawkins and Cudayer can tell the youngins' what it should feel like?  To me that's building ass backwards, but I guess it's still building?

Well, aren't those true things?  It's not unfair to point out things that the guy actually said and did.  True, it's not the whole picture with Hunter, he has done some good things too. 

And of course now that he isn't going through the stress of competing he isn't likely to lose his temper and act like an arse.

We have a younger generation that has absolutely no clue about working toward a goal because they've always got what they wanted when they wanted.

 

I am much more impressed by millennials than I am my generation -- Gen X.  I imagine you are Gen X as well.  Gen X has been the ultimate generation of incompetence.  Our parent are still running things for the most part, and the next generation to run things will be the millennials.  Sad but true.  Gen X is going to push things backwards before the millennials come of age to fix it.

I doubt that I am the only one who gets a little tired of these unforgiving negative types. They are tiresome and always unfair. 

 

For the record, I heard from a former Twin who was there that the scuffle between Justin and Torrii was "no big deal." A Twin told me this.  So drop it already. Things like that happen on every team. . 

 

These three guys are leaders, and that is something the Twins desperately need.  This is not a spring training deal. These guys will be around the club a lot. They will be like extra coaches.  And will teach the young guys how to act.

 

Those who carp that these guys never won a world series show their ignorance. Yeah, neither did Ted Williams. So he must have sucked right? Dan Marino never won a Super Bowl. Like I said, unfair. 

 

When you win a championship it takes the entire team, and a lot of luck. But it starts with a winning attitude. And that, more than any other trait, is what haters lack.So its no wonder that they criticize this move. They just don't understand how important a good attitude is.

Just to be clear......Torii has been very clear in his statements about gays and "black" Latins.....this isn't something people are making up. For some people, that's an issue. For others, it isn't.

You don't name names unless you have permission from the guy you quote. Ask any reporter who quotes an "unnamed source." But you can take my word for it. that every single organization in baseball does this.  Maybe even the Cubs and Indians.  They haven't won in forever, and they did ok.  We need to get over this.
