I haven't been a Gardy fan for quite some time, but if he wants to stay in the game, Arizona is a good spot.  

 

With Ryan gone, he was going to (rightfully) have zero input with the Twins so moving on was good for him (and us).

That seems like the perfect role for him, capitalizing on his strengths in keeping the players together during the 162 game grind and negating the 'buck stops here' components of managing... strategy and the won/loss record. Hope he excels at his new job and helps the Diamondbacks franchise realize its considerable potential.

 

Just be careful when you grab that car door handle after it's been in the summer Phoenix sun all afternoon, Ron. And have some fun out there! This game's fun, OK? Fun, G.d. it!

Good to see that they will not have him around any more.  Only better situation would had been if he moved to a division rival.  Oh well... cannot have it all.

Good for Gardy, his time here was done, he took a year off and found a good place!

Still remember him coming over to me and talking as my son was in line for autographs, outside the Metrodome. He went out of his way for me, just to briefly talk and thank me for coming to the game that day.

Good for Gardy.  Interestingly, Lovullo was one of the finalists for the Twins job with Molitor, IIRC.  I hope the Dbacks do well.
