Robbie Grossman bats left-handed, sounds like Erkel when he talks.

Rob Grossman bats right-handed, sounds like James Earl Jones.

He's probably the nicest guy in the world - in your face, Albers - but that doesn't mean I want to see him get rewarded for being an average (at best) hitter for the past decade.

He doesn't produce runs, he doesn't walk much, he doesn't steal bases and he strikes out too much considering he doesn't do any of those other things.

So, what exactly does he do? Aside from sign his minor league tender after venturing out into the world only to find the grass of his MLB future is even a darker shade of brown outside of the Twins organization.

If promotions and MLB playing time are being handed out for being BFFs with Dozier, for a decade of mediocrity and being a super nice guy, this organization is screwed for years to come.

IF this was June, or IF we were within less than periscope distance from the 8th WC spot, I would be right with you. But we ain't. I imagine I could use the same rationale for Grossman and Schaefer, but I think the reasoning behind their presence is far more delusional. They actually think these two guys have a place here in 2017. Not so for the Aussie.

Are all y'all at the game? There sounds like a lot of whooping it up through the TV mikes.

Half the Aussie expats in the city are there chanting for Beresford to pinch run, and they're all... you're sitting down, I hope... drunk. Except the guy driving the Road Warrior sober cab.

Coupla productive outs there.

For the Royals.

From the Webster: Productive Out. v,n. Any out which Dick needs to justify, the last out made in a Twins uniform by any of a plethora of Indy league and AAAA players.

It's just every year they bring one of these guys up and play it up as if he actually belongs or has earned something and then they find a hook to sell it to the masses.

It was Bernier finally getting another chance. And then Bernier getting another chance at another chance. And now it's Crash Beresford.

I'm sick of watching ineptitude and feel-good moments don't even come close to making up for it.

Did Drew Butera just do what i think Gameday said he did?

It probably showed up as a home run on Gameday, but yes, he just mooned the Twins player development in front of dozens of fans.

Bringin' the lumber...

This could be a good strategic move-  kind of an inverse-parabolic-pseudo-counter-intuitive kinda thing.  Instead of giving up a run as soon as your team scores, giving up a run as soon as your team squanders a leadoff double, and doesn't score-- so as to show your own hitters how they should be doing it?

Make sense to anyone but me?

Fun fact: if you get into a Twitter argument with someone about Drew Butera's hitting abilities - and Drew Butera is tagged in the original post - Drew Butera will block you on Twitter.

No.  It's all an allusion.....

Now watch the watch.  I'll make it go away....

It does to me, but that's not going to help your argument at all!

I imagine Bert made his "how many times do you see a guy make a great play and then come up to bat in the next inning" joke this half inning?

Somehow, slightly more faith in this leadoff double than the last one.

Or am I deluding myself?

No, you definitely are.

What I meant is your faith will be rewarded.

Buxton is so fast, I can't tell if he's safe on replay. It's just a blur.

Sano has beat out two infield hits, but ... he has no hits. AND he seems to slow down at the end. BUT he's okay, I think we'll keep him too.

Papi, Butera, Morales ... when will this insanity end?!?!

We're gonna need at least one more farm club to stash all these budding stars so they can't come back to bite us.

I am afraid, but strangely curious...

How long has it been on that list?

Since his first at bat for the Twins. If he homers against them he's not a Twin any more, right?
