S. Verified Member Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 BTW, I'll say it again. If a real 1B is out there, the runner is out for out #3. All that nonsense that happened after that was when they should have already been in the dugout. Doesn't excuse Duffy's breakdown at all, but again. Defense matters. Playing people out of position all the time has consequences.Wait, this isn't like little league where every player has to get playing time in both the infield and the outfield? jimmer and Platoon 2
jimmer Verified Member Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 True, but only twice has he lasted past the 5thyeah, just not sure it has to do with anything between the ears is all I'm saying.
Platoon Verified Member Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 I have been trying to figure out a drinking game, connect d to Grossmans called third strikes. But three beers a game doesn't seem enough. Mike Sixel and USAFChief 2

jimmer Verified Member Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 (edited) Wait, this isn't like little league where every player has to get playing time in both the infield and the outfield? The Cubs move people around a lot, but the guys who get shuffeled can actually play the positions they get moved to well. Like Bryant is a very good 3B, but sometimes others needs to play, so he gets moved out to OF where he's showed competence and an IF gets 3B. We have very few players who can play their #1 position well. Edited August 19, 2016 by jimmer

But three beers a game doesn't seem enough. If your goal is to get completely annihilated, just change it to drink a beer every time he takes any called strike. And when he looks slow in the outfield. And when he noodle arms a throw. And every time we complain about him in the game thread. Don't blame me if you die though. Mike Sixel and Platoon 2
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 Three beers a game? I've done that since the 2nd inning

jimmer Verified Member Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 (edited) Remember when so many people were talking about how great Grossman was, and that we found a diamond in the rough, and that he was still young, and wondering why it was unreasonable to believe he put the pieces together now that he was with us,and so on and so forth. Good times. Edited August 19, 2016 by jimmer Mike Sixel and Platoon 2

S. Verified Member Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 Remember that time earlier this week when Dick and Bert were praising Danny Santana's speed because he cut off a ball in the outfield that any outfielder besides Grossman would've also got to? That was a good one. jimmer 1

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 Shaun hill starting for the Vikings? Yuck, I think I'll pass. Can't believe the Vikings didn't sign a competent backup
