Why was the run given up by Pressly an ER when Escobar made an error that led to the run?

In reconstructing an inning to determine if runs were earned or unearned, you never assume a double play.

 

So even if you account for an out there, it wouldn't have ended the inning, and a run would have scored.

I was thinking Jorge Polanco, though I'm not sure anyone else has ever heard of him.

My guess is that a closed Twins clubhouse vote on whether to play the game tomorrow or just forfeit now, fire up the team charter jet, and be on Lake Minnetonka by 7 would result in a pretty evenly split decision.
