James Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Since I've posted my view of the game the past two nights,I thought it would be fitting to post my view of tonight's game.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 22 year old Bryce Harper hit hr #40 tonight. He will be a free agent in 2019 at 26 years old. G Stanton just got a $325 mill contract from the fish at 25. Harper reaches FA in 2019, when the Twins sign him will the contract reach the $500 mill number? Will the Twins sign Harper when he reaches FA in 2019, or will his agent demand no less than $500 mill? The answer, my friend, is not yes.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 If I was a manufacturer of jock straps and/or cups I would send a text to Brian Dozier offering my expert services.

Let's be realistic! Where do you see Harper fitting in with our system-wide logjam of outfield talent? DH/4th OF if Brooks Sano sticks at third?
James Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 It appears that my cat is bored with Santana throwing so many 3 ball counts.

Where do you see Harper fitting in with our system-wide logjam of outfield talent? DH/4th OF if Sano can't play 3rd? Torii will retire at the end of the 2018 season, so in 2019 Harper will take his place as the good club house guy and dance machine operator. The rest will work itself out.

This was the first game thread post I read tonight and I am going to take it as a sign not to read earlier posts see what led up to this.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 This was the first game thread post I read tonight and I am going to take it as a sign not to read earlier posts see what led up to this.I wrote it. Nothing led up to it. And nothing is going to come out of it. It's a black hole of a comment. Watch out, you might fall in. (Actually, I just can't get over how many times Dozier adjusts his f'ing cup!)
James Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 This gave it away. I know. A sleeping cat. Who would have guessed?

The rest will work itself out.And for that much money, also the occasional 500 ft / 5 run pinch hit homer, one would hope. But as long as the Pohlads are ok with the grandkids taking group polo lessons and the Twins scouts can assure of Harper's DJ/dry ice skills, I'm game for it.

drock2190 Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Wow they are going to lose this game as well!
formerly33 Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I never wore a cup playing baseball, and I was a catcher. How hard did your pitchers throw? Edit: or perhaps you'll give the same reply you gave for your dog ... Don't let that beard deceive you. It's a she.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I never wore a cup playing baseball, and I was a catcher.Exactly. What is the problem?Okay, I'll stop now.I'll never bring it up again.

Probably some group of nerds trying to get revenge on him for some reason.

Gibby Provisional Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 A gambling man, I take it. My chest protector tapered at the bottom to give me sufficient coverage.
James Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Gibby, what's the word on that brewing day?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Come on Lookouts... 1 run in, 5 to go in the 9th... Or 6. That wouldn't be bad either.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Here we go, 7th inning magic.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Come on Lookouts... 1 run in, 5 to go in the 9th... Or 6. That wouldn't be bad either. Er... Maybe not. Final score 7-2, Biloxi takes the first one.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 in play, run(s) please.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Gibby, what's the word on that brewing day? We've been brewing every Sunday. I told Bark last week, but the weather was nasty. We wont be doing it this Sunday, because we are going to the Vikings game. I'll call and ask if he wants to brew on Sat.
