Since I've posted my view of the game the past two nights,I thought it would be fitting to post my view of tonight's game.

22 year old Bryce Harper hit hr #40 tonight. He will be a free agent in 2019 at 26 years old. G Stanton just got a $325 mill contract from the fish at 25.  Harper reaches FA in 2019, when the Twins sign him will the contract reach the $500 mill number? 

Will the Twins sign Harper when he reaches FA in 2019, or will his agent demand no less than $500 mill?

 

The answer, my friend, is not yes.

Torii will retire at the end of the 2018 season, so in 2019 Harper will take his place as the good club house guy and dance machine operator.  The rest will work itself out.

I wrote it. Nothing led up to it. And nothing is going to come out of it. It's a black hole of a comment. Watch out, you might fall in. (Actually, I just can't get over how many times Dozier adjusts his f'ing cup!)

And for that much money, also the occasional 500 ft / 5 run pinch hit homer, one would hope.    But as long as the Pohlads are ok with the grandkids taking group polo lessons and the Twins scouts can assure of Harper's DJ/dry ice skills, I'm game for it.

We've been brewing every Sunday. I told Bark last week, but the weather was nasty. We wont be doing it this Sunday, because we are going to the Vikings game. I'll call and ask if he wants to brew on Sat.
