MplsFan Verified Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 How has Polanco looked tonight? I've only watched from the 6th inning on but have liked what I've seen- some nifty defense and I liked how he took that walk.

Shaky, all the way around, on defense. A bad error, but mostly just really shaky all around, even plays he made looked iffy. But one game isn't much to go on, in either case.

formerly33 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 I just watched the T-Hunt ejection. Epic. Epic. EDIT!!! I didn't know that he had been ejected, btw. And I just discovered that Paulitor Maul was tooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . I almost think this was worth the loss right there - if we can pull out of this streak. !!!!!!!!!!!
mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Anyone take a look at the pitch tracking in the top of the first. It felt like Gibson might have been just missing a lot, but then that first pitch to Doizer gets called a strike. Didn't pay to close attention the rest of the night but no excuse for the strike 3 call on Hunter and the way he acted when Torii said something. Go ahead and eject him but an umpire should never be the guy getting into a players face. I would have had no problem had that ump ejected Doizer and Molitor on that first pitch by the way, but the ump most of known he doesn't belong behind the plate.

The umpire never moved forward. Torii walked straight back to the umpire and got in HIS face. The umpire kept retreating the whole time, until the other umpire came over to get Torii off the field and the umpire went around to return to his position. Looks pretty much textbook "how to deal with cranky players" to me. http://m.twins.mlb.com/min/video/v156644083/must-c-clips-torii-gets-tossed-after-arguing-strikes/ As to the Dozier strike, Gameday has it as legit. Almost identical to the third pitch of the at-bat, which Dozier ripped foul. Dozier ultimately grounded out on a much lower pitch. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2015_06_10_kcamlb_minmlb_1&mode=classic
