formerly33 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 This reminds me of a story that Provus told once about how he tried to wear a baseball hat. Danny Valencia (I think) sauntered up to him and said to anyone who cared to listen, "Hey, you look just like SmallS." Apparently everyone thought it was the biggest joke - except Cory. So if you've ever wondered why Cory never wears a baseball hat, now you know. I haven't watched The Sandlot, but I'm pretty sure this is SmallS Provus. Or is it Cory SmallS? Not sure. ... nitpic: it's "Smalls." And you really should watch the movie. Fantastic!FIFY.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 FIFY, by watching the movie.FIFY.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 You sure watched that fast.FIFY.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Sconnie ... it appears that you deleted your post, but aren't we glad that it isn't "You're killing me, Cory"? chief said it better, but agreed
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Meanwhile, how does Dozier not beat that out?
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 What an embarssing series. The inevitable downfall has begun.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 They had been, for two months, pretty fun to watch. Recently, this is the opposite of fun to watch. It'll pass, the question is, will they still be in contention when it does?
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 2 runs in 3 games, no players with a BA above .268 It's gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets better.
David HK Verified Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Gee, haven't been around the thread much today- too busy watching hockey, where people are playing great team D!
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Well, on a positive note, Gibson had a strikeout per inning tonight.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 The only thing I'm positive about is that we lose this game.

Blake Verified Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 So, we get a bit of wind storm, which covers the backyard with debris from our redwoods. I head out to clean up, knowing we're going to get hit with a good old fashioned MN thunderstorm..in Central CA. It was great to be outside with the rain falling as I raked. My wife thinks I'm insane. I didn't want to leave the crap on the ground, because the dogs would have dragged it into the house. That was my excuse to be out during a thunderstorm, anyway.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 My wife thinks I'm insane. Don't feel bad, my wife doesn't even need a thunderstorm to think the same of me.

With the Sam Francisco Giants game on the radio?
formerly33 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Okay, my analysis (at this moment at least). We might have been winning games earlier this season, but our pitching was still terrible. We just managed to score runs early and barely scrape by with a win. Now our pitchers have improved (except for this trend of giving up runs early, and I'd have to blame the defense just as much as the pitchers), and in turn, our offensive skills have vanished. But Plouffe seems like he's trying really hard to un-slump, and if the rest of our hitters can follow suit, we might not be doomed - yet.
