I like Santana's versatility in the field. If we bring him down, Escobar is the only utility guy on the roster.

 

Do the Twins really need Nunez if they bring up Arcia?

Whatever keeps Santana at short, and Escobar out of LF is OK by me.

One of two things will happen with Nunez:

 

1. He keeps mashing in a reserve role.

2. He goes back to his career norms and is likely cut or sent down (I don't know his status) by mid to late June.

 

With Mauer, Dozier and Plouffe in the INf as guys you would never PH for anyways, you only need one INF util type, which would be whichever of Santana/Escobar isn't the regular SS at the time.

If the Twins make some moves tomorrow. I desperately hope that Rosario is not one of the casualties. With him in LF and Hicks in CF, it has made a tremendous difference defensively and he is hitting very well. It appears they may have inspired T-Hunt a little bit.

 

Ride the hot hand, reward the guy for his tremendous effort. Don't take a leak on it.
