David HK Verified Member Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 OK, g'nite all-- my work here is done. Here's hoping Gibby keeps rolling, and the Sox keep that good team/ bad baseball thing going. To all who are at the game today, enjoy! And somebody have an Italian Beef for me.
David HK Verified Member Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Ah, crapola. Just when I'm signing off on a good note- oh, well. Zzzzzz.....
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 It took me about 15 minutes to read the original post. I appreciate the effort that went into this and it was interesting to have a window into the complex mind of a devout fan whose perspective is vastly different from my own. Thanks, always33.

glunn Community Moderator Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 OK, let's get an insurance run here. I need to go pick up breakfast, but would like a 5 run lead before I leave.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Once again I come to the game thread and have to go to MLB for a SCORE or DETAILS of the actual game Definition of insanity.

Thanks, always33.Aw, thanks. I got kind of carried away and wrote way too much...never again. Guess I had a bunch of words bottled up inside of me as a result of being one of the most painfully shy people in the world in real life (this internet thing is all just fantasy, right?). But like I said...never, ever again. Unless I write a book. And it won't be an autobiography - though it may be about the Twins.

formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2015 Author Posted May 24, 2015 Fantasy, bad dream......whichever.MLB Gameday is a good dream today...though it's a nightmare when I don't have the radio on since it's so delayed.
blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Wow, it doesnt have to be said if you are watching, but Gibsons ball is really moving, and his slider , if kept low is a fantastic pitch.......also he seems to be going in and out and up and down, if he pitches like this all the time, he could be a #2 pitcher, but he has to keep having some K's....so far today has been fabulous
mnsportsgeek Provisional Member Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Well, if the past two days hold true, Gibson's day will be over after this inning.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2015 Author Posted May 24, 2015 5 down, 5-1 Twins, 6 SO for Gibson.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Gibson is a great example for why it's important to be patient with Trevor May.
blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Well remember now, we have 13 pitchers(unneeded) , so we have to give them all some pitching time, sarcasm.............................why 13 when we havnt needed our 12th pitchers much this yr, and after just coming off 2 off days.
blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Another 2 runs for Chattanooga in the second inning, Harrison with a triple, imagine Buxton would have gotten 5 bases on that one

formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2015 Author Posted May 24, 2015 Game threads sure are quiet when Chief is gone...and Brian...and no Bark to humor Brian...and ChiTown at the game...I'm sure there are some other Most Valuable Posters missing here, but my mind is drawing a blank.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2015 Author Posted May 24, 2015 That little guy always makes me wince. The Sox must look like this to him:
blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Houston ahead of Detroit and St Louis ahead of KC and the minors are looking good so far today too
mnsportsgeek Provisional Member Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Houston ahead of Detroit and St Louis ahead of KC and the minors are looking good so far today too Weird, I was beginning to think the Royals would go 148-14.
zchrz Provisional Member Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Sox announcers are in full out depressed mode lol, barely even call the game.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2015 Author Posted May 24, 2015 Weird, I was beginning to think the Royals would go 148-14.Now that is a sad thought indeed.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2015 Author Posted May 24, 2015 Sox announcers are in full out depressed mode lol, barely even call the game.Kind of like that epic Hawk call where somebody (don't remember who) homered and he was silent. The umpires have been doing pretty good, so there was no need for his "NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!" call.

Ya I was distracted and just listening when we were scoring, I looked at the score and was rather surprised because all I had heard was multiple "umm welps".

TheDean Verified Member Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Hopefully that bloop gets Hicks going. Speed on the bases.
