James Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Let me guess - a plane. It's Europe, there was likely a train involved at some point as well.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 2 runs in, but they challenged the first base call, and got it overturned for the out, and caught someone trying to go to second on a throw home (or stretching a double, it wasn't entirely clear to me)Correct on the overturned single, which got an RBI anyway. The last out was on the batter trying to stretch the single into a double. Out by a lot, though the tag ended up being a little difficult to administer.
James Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Uh oh. Do you think the Nolasco bean ball will have some retaliation with it? If it were the Royals, it probably would for some reason.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 loss_for_words.gifNow I'm going to see Nathan Fillion every time I think of you instead of the street sign.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Wanna know how bad Ricky Nolasco is? Giving up 3 runs in 2 innings has actually lowered his ERA.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Wanna know how bad Ricky Nolasco is? Giving up 3 runs in 2 innings has actually lowered his ERA.What a relief. Now I just can't wait until our relief comes in. Or wait...can I?
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I'm on Gameday again. Please, oh please tell me that he's out.
James Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I'm on Gameday again. Please, oh please tell me that he's out.He was out-ish. That's all that matters.
Paul Pleiss Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Is this the time when I can just start LOL at Nolasco?
Paul Pleiss Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 was really expecting Danny Santana to take a walk there. Two balls. So Close. Half-way.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 Hunter ties the game. I like.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 He was out-ish. That's all that matters. It was a really long review. Certainly a fine throw by Suzuki.
James Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 It was a really long review. Certainly a fine throw by Suzuki. It was really close. I could have seen it going either way. It was a very nice throw.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Tie game. Not to worry, Mr. Nolasco will take care of that problem.
Paul Pleiss Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Does anyone know how long it has been since Joe Mauer hit a home run? I believe his last was 17 Aug 2014. I'm more curious what the longest HR drought of his career has been.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 It was really close. I could have seen it going either way. It was a very nice throw. Is that Zuke's first?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 Yes. Now he's got his second, on a strikeout/throwout. Could be worse...
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Computer psycho'd on me and had to restart. Torii earned part of his $10 million with that HR. Now, Ricky, you should have the initial butterflies out of your system. Show us what TR paid for.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Yes.Watched the replay. You should hear the White Sox announcers. They were sure that he was safe and that the people in NY made a bad decision.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Now he's got his second, on a strikeout/throwout.Could be worse...So it's Zuke's job today to keep Nolasco from pitching terrible and Plouffe and Hunter's job to keep pilin' on those runs. Right?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 Some of us are old enough to remember when Saturday mornings meant westerns -- Sky King, Roy Rogers, The Rifleman, The Lone Ranger and Rin Tin Tin! I am taking notes. I've watched some of these (particularly Lone Ranger and Hopalong Cassidy) looking for something my Dad would like. I'll look at the others. I don't know if it was Saturday morning show, but i really liked the Richard Greene Adventures of Robin Hood.

It's not my style. Guess I was too old for it when I first saw it, yet young enough still to not be able to enjoy it again.

Well, you have to remember I was a girl so maybe the boys were watching something different!
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 My favorite re-runs are still Andy Griffith (B & W) and the Dick Van Dyke Show.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Okay, never mind. Gameday put him back in the lineup.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Jordan Schafer flies out to right fielder Avisail Garcia. Three out. Johnson, Shuck, Cabrera up next.
