Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 Nick Gordon still available? He was, but now you've got him.
halfbakeraymond Provisional Member Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Have fun everyone! I wish I could partake in the draft but I will not have the time to dedicate to a prospect. I look forward to reading up on everyones prospect? I would think if you have time to "read(ing) up" on a baker's dozen prospects over the course of a season you'd have time to adopt one.Just pick one like Buxton who you know will be hurt in the first month for the remainder of the year and your time spent will be minimal.

PeanutsFromHeaven Verified Member Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Having spent the past year in mourning for my beloved Luis Perdomo, I will ask to adopt JT Chargois. Hopefully as Chargois begins his road to recovery, I will be able to harvest his best parts in the hopes of creating a Franken-Reliever (note, that's a combination Frankenstien/Reliever, not a combination Al Franken/Reliever). I will be out of touch for 3 weeks in June...that means I would lose prospect. Last year, I took Brett Lee and lucky for me he was on DL most of that time... This year with Grandpa babysitting duties taking up even more time I am passing up the AAP--I will be following updates though.

formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I want to adopt Luke Westphal since he wears number 33. Which is silly, but personally, it's not a bad pick at all.

Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted April 10, 2015 Author Posted April 10, 2015 Here's where we are starting Friday. For those reading these comments, if you selected a player yesterday, you may now select another player today. If you didn't select a player yesterday, you can select TWO players today. And that can start now. You don't have to adopt the top names and prospects. Sometimes the stories of the other minor leaguers that don't get talked up enough are the most interesting. Ideally, we will have a forum for every minor league player, fully of stories and stats. You can even try reaching out to those players and do Q&As or that kind of thing. It can and should be a lot of fun! curt1965 - JO BerriosSteve Lein - Nick BurdiHrbowski - Byron BuxtonPeanutsfromheaven - JT ChargoisJunkWaxTwins - Ryan Eadestyomoth - Mitch GarverMinnFan4Life - Stephen Gonsalveslightfoot789 - Niko GoodrumRollingOaks - Nick Gordongunnarthor - Travis Harrisonnicksaviking - Dalton HicksJaleelWhiteFanClub - Chih-Wei Hublue chipper - Max KeplerJoe Mulligan - Trevor Maymarkos - Alex Meyerteekz - Levi MichaelTJG - Max Murphyscottz - Greg Peaveymilldaddy35 - Jorge Polancobulldozier14 - Eddie Rosarionytwinsfan - Miguel SanoDance with Disco Dan - Kohl StewartStringer Bell - Alex Swimnate10s - Stuart TurnerShane Wahl - Adam Brett Walkeralways 33 - Luke Westphal formerly33 1
nytwinsfan Provisional Member Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Just a general question, is there a way to save a post before you post it? I couldn't find a way to do that, I had spent about 30 minutes+ on my post for Sano, and then my browser crashed. Given how unstable browsers are these days, it would be great if there were a way to save your work before posting. There may be such an option, but I'm not sure how to do it. Thanks.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted April 10, 2015 Author Posted April 10, 2015 I write my articles elsewhere, like Word or something like that so that I have it. Then bring it over to the site when you're ready. I'm sorry that happened! Just a general question, is there a way to save a post before you post it? I thought about doing that too, but I was using A LOT of links and some photos as I went along, and I wasn't sure if they would transfer over to word. I'll do that next time and just add the links/photos at the end if they don't stay.

ashbury Verified Member Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 In case anybody is holding back because you can't think of a good player, and/or to kickstart the thinking process, here's a remaining list I would love to see covered and who have (IMO) a genuine chance to develop into a major leaguer you can be proud to have invested the time on in a few years. I don't have the energy to do them all myself. Achter Once a bunch of these are taken, I'll jump in and snatch a couple for myself. If I recall correctly, the Hall of Fame of my past "adoptees" includes Joe Benson, Darin Mastroianni, and The Illustrious Kenny Wilson. Maybe you can be just as lucky with yours!
Steven Buhr Verified Member Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I'll stick with James Beresford. He's been my choice for the last 15 years or so (or at least it seems that long), so I'm not giving up until either the Twins do or he does! ashbury 1
