MileHighTwinsFan Verified Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 How well would a 2015 AA Chattanooga Lookouts roster with w/Buxton, Polanco, Burdi, Kepler, Walker, Sano, Stewart and Mientkiewicz in the dugout draw at Target Field this summer, playing AA ball? I for one would be at the ballpark regularly to watch this team.
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Hold on to your horses for a sec Polanco has nothing to prove at AAStewart needs to go to Fort Myers first.I hope that Sano starts the season in the Majors (but will settle with AAA)

Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I'd rather see them in their own park actually Love the minor league experience, and the prices.

Also, I am OK with Sano seeing AA pitching for a month.

Also see Polanco and Sano starting at Chattanooga. Now, if Sano is in AA past May/June I'll be extremely disappointed.
shs_59 Provisional Member Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 My Chattanooga Lookouts timetable: Eddie Rosario - April onlyJose Berrios - April thru JulyMiguel Sano - April thru JuneByron Buxton - Whole seasonNick Burdi - Most of seasonJorge Polanco - April thru JulyMax Kepler - Whole SeasonTravis Harrison June thru season Kohl Stewart ? A.B. Walker ? i have them starting the yr. in Ft. Myers and they should see time there late in year. Anybody else I'm forgetting? - I have Taylor Rogers in AAA. (Mason Melotakis should see AA time early on) Jake Reed should hopefully see time there as well... Maybe Ryan Eades?
shs_59 Provisional Member Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Some of The questions that will be answered soon are : only room enough for one of T. Harrison or A.B. Walker which one will it be? and who will do the bulk of the catching for the club to start the season ? Stu Tuner? someone else? Grimes? Knudsen? The other one i have personally is: Eddie Rosario AAA or AA to begin the year? maybe even MLB?

ExpectMorePayLess Verified Member Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Some MLB franchises actually have their minor league clubs play games at thier MLB ball parks as part of a promotional game. I know it is done with some clubs in the MIdwest league. They either play when the MLB team is out of town or as part of a double hesader. The Lookouts are further away, but wow, would it be worth the cost to set that up if I was the Twins. Kepler plays 1st and rotates in OF until Buxton moves to AAA. No way I start A.B. Walker in Ft. Myers. He starts next to Buxton in RF Turner and Knudsen share time at catcher to start season Rosario; Sano; Buxton; Michael; all start at AA due to missed games due to injury in 2014. The length will depend on them.

A lineup that I would propose has everyone in it except for Dalton Hicks and Aderlin Mejia, who can fill in and give players rest. Harrison gets time in LF, DH, 3B, and 1B. Rosario around the OF and "25%" (Antony) at 2B. Kepler at 1B, DH, OF. Sano 3B and DH. Etc. Also, I am thinking that Matt Koch stays in AA instead of going to AAA. Maybe not though.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I would get to Target Field a lot more! It's going to be interesting. Polanco definitely has plenty to prove yet in AA. i wouldn't have a problem with Sano getting a couple of weeks in Ft. Myers at the start of the season just to shake some rust. I think he'll go to Chattanooga. I think Walker starts in AA with Harrison starting in FM. Rosario is interesting too. He could definitely start in AA after his struggles there last year, but he could move quickly. It'll be a fun team to watch.
